Spring CleaningFor those who have been keeping up with this blog, thank you. I've been working hard on some upcoming projects that have been keeping me pretty busy. In fact there is also an update to my performances if you want to know where I'll be next. Here's a poem that better describes what I have been up to rather than any long writing can explain.
Spring has always been for cleaning For airing out the house from stale winter air that suffocates With memories of a often harsh winter that has let the darkness creep into corners Settled with depression like dust that covers windowsills in need of a feather duster Coming away from him has been my spring cleaning Of learning what fresh air feels like again Of letting in the light and showing me just how dirty I've allowed my house to get And relishing in the clean Enjoying the breeze of spring rain Blooming simultaneously with the flowers Discovering love again Enjoying peace Allowing time to heal To pause in the day and enjoy the current moment Not forgetting or disengaging Charging in the sun Becoming a blaze for the summer Wielding a humid heat that will make blind ears wish for Fall again To wish for a autumn shower to stop the shimmering hot And they will find no relief There is no ignoring truth anymore |
