How lame is it to say, "Those that can't do, teach"? More like those that can, do, and will of course teach. Teaching is sharing the knowledge you already possess with others. I’m the biggest fan of always taking the opportunity to pass knowledge I have, but also taking opportunities to gain new knowledge. We are always learners in this here life. So here is a poem that I did during my workshop. I am open to any feedback you have or just thoughts. (No pressure) *bites lips* Now I have to make sure this poem is halfway decent. Kids Being Kids
Fire hydrants spraying Roller-blading Arm wrestling In shorts and white T’s Chasing ice cream trucks And neighborhood cats Hopscotching on cracked sidewalks With grass coming out Hand games and water guns Hot pickles in sandwich bags We friendship bracelets We rolling hills We first bikes and rollerblades We double bubble and winterfresh We sunflower seed spit We fist fights and play fights And get off my block My turf My neighborhood With all your newness We block party We out till the streetlights turn on We notice how many of us Don’t make it to tomorrow But today we holding on Sneaking cigarette butts to pass That we will crush Cuz’ it don’t fit Like the death we wait for |
