WORK EXPERIENCE ​

          Mid-Continent Public Library Kansas City, MO
​                   Story Centers Publications Manager

                   Present

  • Develops and manages all Story Center printing and publishing activities
  • Manages relationships with authors, publishers, and Story Center vendors
  • Interacts effectively and efficiently with Story Center customers in person, via telephone, and email
  • Provides consultation to customers regarding Story Center printing and publication services
  • Works with Director to develop the “Library as Publisher” model as well as long-term and annual plans for the publication program
  • Develops and manages annual budget for printing and publication services of the Story Center
  • Manages Woodneath Press imprint process from project conception to completion

  • Led and managed a team of six in the Children’s Library and Teen Lounge through task direction.
  • Planned, executed, and evaluated programming for school-age children, teens, and families within Central, including preparatory work as well as communicating with the Assistant Director of Central Services, Logistics Committee, and Custodial Staff regarding any special needs for Room setup.
  • Worked with Central Youth Services staff to create a welcoming environment for youth in the Children’s Library and Teen Lounge.
